Basic Instructions

• Surfing consists of using a variety of keys, such as A and D are the keys you hold down to stay on the ramps, W and S are they keys that make you Stop and using the mouse changes your direction.

• To surf in a forwards direction on the ramp you must hold down A and D, (so basically you’re strafing on a ramp) and look forward.

• Strafe using A if you are on the right side of the ramp and strafe using D if you are on the left Side.

• Always look straight ahead while surfing this is a key factor in surf as you will know what is ahead.

• When Jumping from ramp to ramp always start at the top of the ramp and surf down it thus gaining more speed.

• To ensure that you don’t loose your speed when landing on another ramp try and get in the same direction as the surf ramp when you hit.

• To gain maximum distance when launching of one of the ramps make sure you surf from the top of the ramp to the bottom then flick up using your mouse.

• How to stop. To stop in mid air you must use either of the W key or the S key. The S key is preferred my many players. This is handy because it allows you to stop at certain areas either to avoid gun fire, or to land on teleports or safe landing areas (water).

Other Tips:

• Have Fun; if you don’t have fun you have failed to understand the reason of surfing

• Don’t camp, if you camp you won’t improve in your surfing skill.

• To ensure you don’t loose speed when you hit another ramp make sure you are as parallel to the ramp as possible. Coming in at an angle will cause you to loose speed.

• Skipping as many ramps as possible builds up your momentum and speed and also making it harder for the enemy to hit you.

• If you are stuck in a glitch do the right thing and type "kill" in console so you don’t hold the server up.

• It will be highly possible that you will get blocked in Surf and I urge you not to complain. I think of blockers (people moving slow) as a challenge because all they are is an obstacle and you have to avoid them which is great fun.

• Don’t Spawn!!

• Be Calm And Patient

Surfing Language

• Blocker: A blocker is when someone is in front of you and you catch them and they "block" you, so basically it’s like hitting a moving brick wall or when someone lags in front of you and blocks you.

• Blocked: Is a saying that someone just got blocked by a blocker. ie: Person: Ahhh i got Blocked ffs.

• Jail: A room where you get teleported to when you fall of a ramp, usually has a higher point where other people can kill you and you cannot kill or see them, or it is harder to kill them

• Control Room: A Place were you can see people in Jail (secret camera in jail) by a television in the control room and sometimes there are buttons that allow you do either open the jail or kill everyone in jail. The control room is usually at the end of the map is the hardest place to get to.

• Teleport Portal: Is a portal used to transfer a player across maps, out of jail, back to spawn.

• Tele Block: Standing in a teleport area so others that teleport in get stuck or in some cases die. This is a ban able offence and is not love around the servers.

• Tele Camp: Camping at a teleport exit so when someone comes through you kill them quickly and is the cheapest way to get a kill, this is also not loved on the servers

• Spawner/Spawning: Spawn killing is when you stay in spawn and kill enemy's who jump out of spawn, this is a ban able offence because it disrupts the game play.

• Spawn Camper: This is when people don’t leave spawn and camp the spawn teleport and is basically like tele camping but at your spawn.

• Spawn Flashing: Spawn flashing is throwing a flash while people are jumping out of spawn, thus blinding them and disrupting the game play, which is a ban able offence.

• Spawn Hoping: When you can jump to the other teams spawn and kill them before they have a chance to jump out of spawn

Player types

• Spawn Killers/Hoppers/Flashers: Some of the most hated people in the surfing community, these players will generally kill or disrupt anyone by any means before the other players have even had a chance to play by using weapons to kill players as they jump off the ramps, glitches to get to other teams spawns or flash grenades to blind all the players and disrupt play. Doing any one of these is a bannable offence and is not tollerated by other players.

• Blockers: Blockers are usually not bad people, however there are some who will occasionaly stop on a ramp and intentionally block people in order to kill them.

• Campers: Just because surf maps are differently shaped and play differently to other maps, this does not exclued campers. Surf maps are notorios for their multiple sniper points, on top of ramps, out of spawn, under or near teleports. Camping is generally a minor nuicence but can sometimes become extremely unfair or irritating and is occasionally resulted in kicks or bans.

• Ninjas: Ninjas move fast, extreemly fast; often skipping whole areas of maps! they surf with knives and shotguns out and will not hesitate to backstab or shoot anyone in front (or sometimes behind) them. they are good players to have on your team but can be irritaing by causing rounds to end too quickly or hogging the good weapons.

• Noobs: Noobs are not always bad people, some just dont know how to surf and will ask how too. However, occasionally noobs who cant surf will, instead of asking for help, become frustrated and just spawn kill and abuse other players.

• Spammers: These people will occasionaly come onto the server to do nothing but scream into thier microphone and/or spam binds, they are annoying but are usually auto kicked after a while.

• Rank Whores: Players who will kill anyone and everyone in any way possible just to gain points. They are not against the rules but are generally disliked by the surfing community

Rules

Some rules in the EGN COC are meant for surfing only such as:

• Tele Block (standing under a teleport which may kill you team mates)

• Glitching of the map

• Spawning (killing players while you are currently in spawn)

• Crashing the Server

• Flashing spawn

• Holding up the game.

All of these are considered Bannable offences and I do not advise you to try them, as you will be missing out on the greatest server of them all.

This is the only surf server for EGN and is very populated and if you ever need help with surfing i am always on this server, my in game name is »---> † ﻱςợזזÿ † (the guy owning everyone) and i will be more than happy to teach you how to surf.

Weapons

• Surfing Weapon*: While surfing it is not recommended that you use Automatic Rifles because of the massive recoil, so basically you won’t hit anything. The Shotgun is highly recommended because it is the most accurate gun while surfing due to its area damage, and the glock is the second most accurate weapon due to its burst fire. Knives are also good to use for more expirenced players

The imfamous battlefield of WWII where Nazis and Jewish rebels did battle, suspended high abouve the mountains..

General Description: This Map can be summed up in two words , spawning and camping. It is an ideal map for camping with an AWP on the ramp or simply staying at spawn with an M4 and spawning. This map has no buy zone and no bomb site but does have a jail in which you die slowly unless you press the open button (at end of jail).

surf_thriller

The mechanical fortress high above the clouds...

General Description: It a very fun map which you start of with knives every round and involves racing down to the bottom to get weapons, so basically first one down the bottom wins. This map has a massive jail which has many HE grenades that you can pick up throw. Since everyone starts of with knives every round there is no spawning. The buy zone is located at the end of the map and requires a code to get in the room. The code is 236819

surf_10x_final

The anciant and abandoned but still working base high in the sky, out of sight from the rest of the world...

General Description: This map is basically like Swej it involves AWP's and camping. Also keep a watch out for tele campers and people that camp jail. This map does have a buy zone located at the end of the map but doesn’t have a bomb site. Spawning on this map involves nades throw across to other side of spawn, so when u spawn "RUN LIKE THE WIND"

The metal maze of twisting ramps and deadly falls...

General Description: This map is one big race to the end of the map, there is no bomb site but there is a buy zone at the start of the round. Best weapon for this map is the pump shotgun. The spawning on this map is average with a few spawn hoppers and a few nades been throw over to other side of spawn. All together a very fun map.

The stone mess of rocklike ramps with sharp dead ends and tough twists and curves of death...

General Description: this map is one of the hardest maps to keep up your endurance because it is sniper city and the surfing is quite hard. This map is not recommended for new surfers trying to learn the map claims more lives due to tricky ramps then other players killing each other. This map doesn’t have a bomb site or a buy zone but its very good for practicing tricks in surfing.

The aztec city above the skies...

General Description: This map is a classic and involves both teams racing to weapons (AWP) and camping the map isn’t hard but if u fall off you die. Generally the first team to grab awp's is usually the team which wins every round. This map is also known for its cool tele hoping tricks which has only been mastered by few players (Maddness).

The computer simulation of the perfect battlefield...

General Description: This map has got to be one of the best; it has a jail and no bomb or buy zones. It is one Gigantic race to the end were there is a Heath Regeneration Pad and weapons. This map is impossible to spawn and isn’t very difficult to surf making this one of the greatest maps.

surf_melons

Insanity of nature...

General Description: This map is fantastic it has one bomb site but has no buy zone. The ideal of this map is to surf down to the end to collect the strong weapons. Along the way though are little islands which have one melon on them. the aim of this is to try and get your melon in the whole by pushing against it, once u have done this you get a weapon. So it’s kind of like miniature golf. This map has the best jail ever created with a waterfall and many other items. Tip: u can escape jail by climbing the waterfall and pressing a square button at top which will open the side waterfalls up. And out you go

The small and sucluded prison where people do battle just to escape...

General Description: This map is very simple and easy to surf not to mention it is the smallest surf map on EGN, it involves a lot of tele camping and spawning. This map has no Buy zone and no Bomb site but does have a small jail incase you fall off. This map doesn’t have any weapons except the normal counter terrorist or terrorist default pistols

Acient yet modern with traps and twists gallore...

General Description: This map has got to be by far the best surfing map created, it has basically 0 glitches, has a bomb site and it also has a buy zone which is hidden under water...time to go swimming for you. This map allows players to go at awesome speed and also has great sniping spots, this version of Japan has a few traps for novice players (not going to tell you were ...hehe) and you may ask "how can this map get any better" well the answer to that is... IT HAS A JAIL. Not just any jail this jail has a control panel which u can either release the prisoners or fill the prison up with water allowing your enemies or in some cases your team mates to die slowly.

surf_abhorrence

The beatifuly constructed yet deadly battlefield...

General Description: This map is an all rounder; it does have a bomb site which is hard to get to yet doesn’t have a buy zone. Another upside is that you start off with Deagles and you have two exit points to leave spawn which makes spawning impossible. This map allows many players to go at incredible speed and to try a lot of tricks it also has many secrets in which you will discover later on. This map also has a jail in which you must do a crouch jump onto a box to avoid loosing health slowly.

The high tech base used by war rebels..

General Description: This map is yet another race map were it is first to the bottom basically wins. In this map you have to race down to the end were awps and m4's and ak's await you. At the end lies a teleport were you can go to the top of jail and kill everyone inside. There are a couple of secrets in this map like shotguns under spawn, and it is possible to kill everyone in jail by turning on the lasers. Here is a link in which reveals many secrets about this map. The electrocuted forest of towers and platformes with snipers gallore...

General Description: Don’t be fooled by the name, this map is known for its MAJOR camping, this is a counter terrorist side map because they have a huge advantage from spawn (can awp and see whole map). This map has both a buy zone which is at spawn and a bomb zone which you must get through a couple of traps. This map is an "OK" map...as long as you have an awp

General Description: This Map is a modified version of Surf_Skyworld and has a jail and a few more weapons to the map. The spawning rate on this map is more than the original due to m4's and Ak's. In other words surf quickly at the start.

surf_bymurdarule

The sandy city in the sky...

General Description: This map is a knife only map, that’s right people surf actually has a knife only map. This map has no bomb site and no Buy Zone, because you start out with knives only it is impossible to spawn. The down sides to this map are that tele blocking is very common especially in jail. The cool thing about this map is that when you surf to the end you will come across a control panel for the jail allowing you to either blow it up killing all inside or opening the door.
