A SteamID is a unique identifier used to identify a single account on the Steam platform.

How do I find my SteamID
- Open up Steam, and run one of your games, such as Counter-Strike: Source.
- Make sure your Console Key is enabled
- Goto the Options menu
- Select the Keyboard tab
- Click on the Advanced button
- Select the Enable developer console (~) if it isn't already selected.
- Connect to any online server
- When connected, press the tilde key, and type the following command and press enter
- status
- You should then see a bunch of information, look for your name
userid name uniqueid connected ping loss state 246 optik STEAM_0:0:123456 0:30 30 0 active
The code represented in bold, is the Steam ID.
Other use's
You can use the "status" command to find other players SteamID's which is an important part step to do whilst recording a demo of a suspect player.
Steam Community
The Steam ID field, used for in your Steam Community profile is not the same as your Steam ID in game. The Steam Community system is in beta at the time of writing, so this may or may not change.
