What is a game server rental ?
A game server rental is exactly that - the rental of a game server which you have full authority over. Not everyone that wants to run their own game server, has access to high quality hardware, and a high speed and reliable internet connection. This is where 'EGN Australia' steps in.
Who would want a game server ?
A game server would be useful for a clan needing a private server to do training on or to host wars or matches from. Other uses may be for gaming league communities, lan centres, or just for you and your colleagues or friends.
Who can rent a game server from EGN Australia ?
To rent a game server from 'EGN Australia' you will need to be 18 years or older, be able to pay funds for the services before the due date, own a computer, an internet connection and the title of the game (you wish the server to run), as well as agree to the terms and conditions.
Why have you started offering games server rental services ?
For a long time now, there has been a fair amount of interest from the local community for rentable servers. Since there are no such services in Western Australia (at the time of writing), we thought it would be a good way to follow consumer demands to extend our services, and make EGN a more sustainable, and purposeful community.
What is a Pragmatic Honor Provider ?
EGN is an official Provider of America's Army Honor Licensing. This is possible, because we are partnered with Pragmatic, developers of the AAHonor.com service.
What is AA-Honor ?
Honor, is a unique scoring system built into the America's Army game. When players accomplish certain features, this is recorded at a central database, and used by all Honor-Licensed servers around the world.
Are the BF2 Servers Ranked through EA ?
All EGN BF2 servers are unranked.
Will I have to pay to play on any of EGN's servers ?
You will never have to pay to play on the EGN non-rental servers. The only people who do pay, are customers of the EGN rented game server service. However, it is the right of the customer to decide whether to charge for usage of their rented game server.
What will renting a game server cost me ?
The charges for a game server will vary for different game titles and different player slots. This is because some game titles require more resources then others, and more player slots requires more resources. A list of games, prices, and the like can be found the Rental Order page.
What are the payment methods ?
Payments can be made through Direct Deposit (bank transfer) or Paypal. Account and payment details are sent to you via email after an order is accepted.

What are the server specifications ?
All EGN machines run in a duel CPU configuration, with a range of 2-4GB ram. The CPU's range from Intel Xeon 2.8ghz to 3.4ghz, as well as AMD Opterons from 260's to 285's.
I want to run un-authroised user created maps on my America's Army server
This is possible, but please note, that Honor Servers cannot run these maps, so you have to switch them into non-authorised mode, which can be done, by finding the 'brequireauthorization' variable and setting it to false:
brequireauthorization = False

I can't change some of the server settings on my Ranked Quake Wars Server
There is a large list of variables that are fixed for Ranked Servers - this is to ensure a certain level of quality and consistent game play over all Ranked Servers.
