PUG

PUG stands for Pick Up Game.

In games like Counter-Strike: Source random players get together and play a match with War/Competition Type settings enabled. This style of play is helpful to people wanting to practise - in a serious sense, which is normally not the case on a standard public server.

EGN runs two dedicated PUG servers for Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source organised through IRC bots. To see more info on these PUG bots, see the CSWA and CSSWA pages.
