FPS

FPS stands for First Person Shooter. It is the name given to computer games that provide you (the player) with a first person perspective (i.e. in the eyes of the person in the virtual world).

The first person perspective feature is actually used in games of other genre's, but when we refer to games in the FPS genre, we usually mean Action FPS games, like Counter-Strike: Source and so on.
