I am curious, as are many others as to what is causing the EGN servers to be removed? Is due to lack of funding, i believe most people would like to know the reasons behind the servers dissapearing.

The main reason behind the closure, is because EFTel is no longer able to offer co-location services for our servers - and sadly, there can be no games network without co-location facilities. As EGN is a volunteer operated games network, and because a games network can't independently generate more income than what co-location services would cost, we can't continue.
